Lesson 6 of 64 min

Work alongside an assistant

The title-bar pill, Stop, Allow, and undo. What you see while it works, and how to stay in charge of your project.

  1. 1

Read the pill in the title bar

Green: connected. Blue and pulsing: working, with the current step named beside it. Amber: it needs you. Click the pill for the activity panel.

  2. 2

Follow its steps, and Stop it

The panel lists Recent steps in plain words (Building the scene, Animating, Reviewing the design). Stop ends the request and throws away whatever it was in the middle of.

  3. 3

Allow or Deny files and renders

Importing files and rendering video always wait for you: Allow or Deny in the panel or in the editor's badge.

  4. 4

Undo a whole request at once

Each request is one step in Edit ▸ Undo, named in the History panel ("Claude: …"). Ctrl+Z / ⌘Z undoes it, or Undo last change in the panel. If you edit while it works, its part so far is saved as its own step first, so your edit stays yours.

  5. 5

    Ask for a designed result

Name the result, the length and a look: Keynote, Swiss editorial, luxury film, broadcast sports. It reviews its own frames and fixes what it finds.

    Try
In Premation, a 15-second launch film for Nova in the luxury film look.
  6. 6

    Add sound

It can place built-in whooshes, risers, impacts and drones on the moments that hit, set levels and fades, and duck music under a voice. Your own music and voice-over ask first; voice-over uses generation credit.

How you know it worked

The pill reads Connected and the activity panel shows recent steps after your first request.
