The editor is open source and yours to use. These terms cover the hosted parts, and set expectations for a pre-1.0 build.

The editor is licensed, not sold
Premation is distributed under GNU AGPL v3.0. That licence is the agreement for the software itself: you may run, study, modify and redistribute it on those terms, including commercially. Nothing on this page narrows the rights that licence grants you.
It is pre-1.0, and that matters
The current build is 0.3.0, public beta. The project file format is still moving. Keep copies of work you cannot afford to lose, and expect to hit rough edges.
The software is provided as-is, without warranty, as stated in the licence. That is not boilerplate here: it is an accurate description of a beta.
Your work is yours
We claim no rights over anything you make with Premation — compositions, renders, exported files, or projects you sync to the cloud edition. Storing a project on our infrastructure does not give us a licence to use it.
The cloud edition
Cloud accounts are optional. While the beta is running, the cloud is free, with no card and no trial clock. If that changes, the pricing page changes first and you will not be charged without agreeing to it.
We may suspend an account that is being used to attack the service, to host unlawful material, or to resell hosted rendering as a service of its own. You can export your projects and self-host at any time; that path is deliberately always open.
The AI assistant
The assistant runs on your provider key, under your account with that provider, and their terms apply to what it generates. We do not guarantee that generated output is correct, original, or suitable for a given use. Review it the way you would review any other edit, which is what the undo history is for.
Changes
Substantive changes to this page are announced in the journal rather than applied silently. The date above is the last time anything on it changed.
