Compositing

Combining several images into one picture: layers stacked with transparency, blend modes, mattes and effects. A compositor is a tool built around that.

In Premation

Premation is a layer-based compositor: layers stack in a composition with 38 blend modes, track mattes, masks and adjustment layers. It has no node graph.
