Codec

The method used to compress and decompress video or audio: H.264, HEVC, VP9, ProRes. The container, such as MP4 or MOV, is the file that holds the result.

In Premation

Each export format is a fixed pairing: MP4 is H.264 with AAC, WebM is VP9 with Opus, MOV is ProRes, and HDR10 and HLG are 10-bit HEVC. The encoding is done by ffmpeg.
